Since a young age I have been fascinated with Photography, you might even say it was in my blood. My Grandfather, Father, Aunt and Uncle were all involved in photography, ranging from hobbyists to owning their own businesses. Through them I gained a real love for not only the act of taking pictures but the art.
In school I always carried a camera capturing the world from my perspective, and learning to capture those hidden moments that are so easily forgotten without a photograph to remind you. On a one week trip to Disney World I went through over 20 rolls of film, and have been known to spend hours in the dark room trying to get the perfect print. In 2006 I made the switch to digital, but I still love the contrast that Black and White film produces.
I officially started Angel Photography in 1999, but unofficially it has been around for much longer than that. It may seem strange that I choose to pursue my dream of starting Photography business when it seems there is a photographer on every corner, and while there are many choices I believe my vision is what sets me apart.
I believe photography is not about the equipment, but the ability of the photographer to see the special moments and beauty hidden inside everyday life. It is so much more than simply recording a snapshot of time in an image. It is using that image to tell a story. The photographer's most important skill is the ability to catch the emotions and atmosphere, and preserve those moments to relive and share with friends and family.
Based in Castle Rock, Angel Photography specializes in on-location photography for the Denver Metro Area. But do not let that fool you, we are just as comfortable in a studio.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Art History and I am a member of both the Professional Photographer of America.
